The MotorVac CarbonClean 245 is a fully electronic fuel system service and diagnostic platform for gasoline engines. When used with MotorVac proprietary detergents, the system cleans the air plenum, throttle body, air bypass circuits, injectors, valves, combustion chambers, oxygen sensor, and catalytic converter—without removing engine components.
MotorVac’s two-line cleaning system temporarily replaces the vehicle’s fuel loop using vehicle-specific adapters. In the first phase (engine off), the machine circulates detergent-blended fuel through the fuel system to dissolve contaminants, gum, and varnish, trapping loosened material in a 10-micron filter. The upper air intake plenum, throttle body, and runners are cleaned using the ICS kit and foaming detergent. In the second phase (engine running), softened deposits on injector tips, valves, piston crowns, and in the combustion chamber are burned and carried out through the exhaust.
